Day 01 Vientiane – Vang Vieng (165km)
8:00 AM depart Vientaine after breakfast. Today’s ride is the easiest ride to get you acquainted with riding in Laos. Lunch will be lakeside at Nam Ngum and you can take a walk through a local market. The first day ride will end up in Vang Vieng, a scenic area with scenic limestone landscape and caves.

Day 02 Vang Vieng – Luang Prabang (220 km)
A hilly ride awaits today! Today we twist and turn up the sides of hills with many excellent viewpoints along the way. A lunch stop in Phou Khoun at a local restaurant and then more pure motorcycle turns on the highway. We arrive in Luang Prabang before sunset and a cold drink along the Mekong completes today.

Day 03 Luang Prabang – Vieng Thong (260km)
Time for a little off roading. We leave Luang Prabang and start in on a compacted dirt road that winds along a river. It gets steep and the views are fantastic. A simple picnic lunch along the way keeps us going and dinner in Vieng Thong waits.

Day 04 Vieng Thong – Phonsavan (220km)
After breakfast, we ride along isolated mountain areas and today’s destination is the Plain of Jars. This area is still heavily mined and remnants of the Indochina war can still be seen even though it ended long time ago. We explore Site 1 of Plain of Jars and back to Phonsavan before dark.

Day 05 Phonsavan – Paksan (260km)
An early departure will be needed. The tough ride is taking you through remote areas. It’s hard to find a place to eat. A simple picnic lunch with sticky rice and laap will keep your fuel right. It’s a rugged ride and the night in Paksan Hotel will refresh you along with dinner along the river.

Day 06 Paksan – Na Hin (140+80km)
After late breakfast, you depart toward Na Hin on a paved road with many wooden bridges crossing. The road is very curved once in a while sneaking through a beautiful limestone area. Just before Na Hin, we stop at the Sala Viewpoint for a panoramic look over the karst limestone formations Lunch in Na Hin and we ride to Klong Lor cave for a boat ride 7 km long in the cave! The night can be either spent in Na Hin or Sala Hinboun.

Day 07 Na Hin – Xepon (249km)
You first ride toward Lak Sao where the Ho Chi Minh Trail enters Laos. The ride is on and off the trail taking though dense jungle. Lunch stop will be a great surprise! A massive hydro electric project is underway and we’ll stop along several times to view the construction. We go more off road on the last leg of today and if lucky, get to cross a river about 60 cm deep and fairly wide.

Day 08 Xepon – Sekong (250km)
A run thru the jungle is today’s ride. We’ll have to use boats to cross two rivers and we’ll be in remote Laos. Stops along the way at local villages are often a real eye opener for the locals and breaks today will be welcome, it’s a hard but satisfying ride. Maybe the sounds of wild tigers at night will keep you awake…

Day 09 Sekong – Attapeu (78+km)
Today ride is mostly easy and comfortable. A long sleep-in and we’ll arrive in Attapeu in the early afternoon. After late lunch, you can take a ride to Paam to check out an old Surface to Air Missile left over from the Indochina war or a great ride out towards the Vietnam border

Day 10 Attapeu – Khong Island (130km)
Feet dry? There will be many river and water crossing along the ride today. We ride the most southern off-road area of Laos and come out by King Fisher Eco Lodge for lunch before continuing the ride to Khong Island. The area is well known by its islands spreading out on the Mekong before it enters Cambodia. We check in well before dark and have plenty of time for a cold drink on the river

Day 11 Khong Island – Pakse (120km)
You last day ride is flat and comfortable on a well-paved road. You arrive in Pakse in early afternoon. It is one of the largest and most populated cities of Laos. Don’t forget to find a local bar on the Mekong, wind blown from the river will refresh us. Time to relax after a long ride! Farewell dinner with your ream and group . End The Tour .
