Northern Laos Experience Motorbike Tour – We will ride from easiest ride to get you acquainted with riding in Laos. We will take a beautiful boat trip will be lakeside at Nam Ngum and you can take a walk through a local villages… Grab your motorbike, challenge yourself by crossing remote jungle trails, and you will have the chance to admire the incredible natural scenery, learn about the unique culture of the locals and especially visit many of Laos’s less-touristed .

Day 01 Luang Prabang – Hong Sa ( 130 Km)

8:00 AM pick up from your hotel . It’s time for a little off-roader. We leave Luang Prabang crossing Mekong River by ferry and start on a compacted dirt road those winds along a river. It gets steep and the views are fantastic. After taking a simple picnic lunch at Khmu Village we continue ride on a dusty and beautiful road almost no traffic to Hongsa.

Day 02 Hong Sa – Muang Hgeum – Xiengkhone – Khop ( 162 Km)
This day gives some hard riding on a dusty road, but with little traffic only. We can visit some villages of Low-land Lao, Hmong and Khmu along the way. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Ban Xiengkhone before riding for another 65 km to Ban Khop, where we stay overnight

Day 03 Khop – Kon Tuen – Pha Oudom – Pak Tha – Houei Xai ( 168 Km)
After a relaxed breakfast we take a short ride to Kon Tuen, where we load our bikes on a boat which will bring us to Hadsa, The boat trip takes about 30 minutes and then continue riding to Thaoudom village for lunch

After lunch we will ride from here along Mekong River enjoy beautiful view in Thailand side to Houei Xai (Bokeo province) and arrival afternoon.

Day 04 Houei Xai – Golden triangle – Houei Xai – Viengphoukha ( 217 Km)
In the morning short ride to Don Sao Island exhibition center located golden triangle one of the best shopping between Laos, Thailand and Burma, from here you will embark to motor boat sailing up –down to take photo view of Golden Triangle. Don sao is an interesting place being located in the heart of the Golden Triangle, on the border of the 3 countries. After, return by the same way to Houei Xai for lunch.

After lunch we continue our journey to Vieng Phouka (95 km, good sealed road) and arrive in mid-afternoon. After check-in we will visit some nearby villages inhabited by Akha, Hmong, Kouy, and Lan Tan ethnic tribes

Day 05 Viengphoukha – Muang Long – Xiengkok ( 97 Km)
Today we will ride through the Nam Ha National Protected Area passing some villages. We have to cross three small streams before we reach the high peak of the Phou Vieng Mountain from where we will enjoy stunning views of the Nam Ha NPA, picnic on the way in the forest.

After lunch we will go up to the small Muang Long town, and then easy ride to Xiengkok about 22 Km and arrival in afternoon, after check-in at Xiengkok resort, enjoy cool drink with sunset over the Burmese side

Day 06 Xiengkok – Muang Sing – Luang Namtha ( 129 Km)
In the morning enjoy your time for relaxing, and then we riding on old opium trading road to Muang Sing small town located near by Chinese border, take a time to visit Lue museum and local market, before heading down to Luang Namtha, where we will stay over night.

Day 07 Luang Namtha – Seng At – Na Le – Na Mor ( 140 Km)
It will be an exciting ride today, In the morning we start on a compacted dirt road winding parallel to Nam Tha river. It gets sometimes steep but the views are simply fantastic. A simple lunch at local restaurant at Nale village is served.

Day 08 Na Mor – Oudomxay – Nongkhiau ( 154 Km)
Today we follow road No. 13 down to Oudomxay. On the way we can stop to visit some minority villages of the Yao, Red Akha, and Khmu ethnic groups. The road may be a bit rocky. We will stop in Oudomxay town for lunch.

After lunch we have an easy ride on Highway No.13 which offers some great views. After about 115 km we reach Nongkhiau where we will stay overnight.

Day 09 Nongkhiau – Muang Ngoi – Nongkhiau (30 Km on motor boat)
We leave our bikes today in the stable. An early wake-up gives us the chance to witness the beautiful sunrise over limestone mountains. Stroll around the Nongkhiau village before breakfast and embarking a boat on Nam Ou. This river is the longest after Mekong in Laos. The cruise on the Nam Ou offers us an enjoyable time of viewing the beautiful landscape with stunning mountain formations. We will stop to visit the Black Tai village Ban Sopchan, famous for its skilled weavers.

We will return to Nongkhiau in the afternoon

Day 10 Nongkhiau – Pak Ou cave – Luang Prabang ( 140 Km)
After breakfast, we ride about 80 Km to the Ban Pak Ou Village where you will take the long trail boat cross Mekong to Visit Pak Ou Pak Ou the one remains a popular pilgrimage site for local people. During Lao New Year in April, the caves are crowded with devotees who gain merit by ceremonially washing the Buddha statues. We will see two Hang-Lin used for this ceremony.

The upper and lower caves are explored, before stopping for a Lao style lunch at a nearby restaurant.
After lunch easy ride to heritage town Luang Prabang . End The Tour .
